They will be discussing why people should make a will, the benefits of having a will and some of the issues that could occur should you pass without leaving a will. They will also discuss probate, what it is and the process involved. Finally, Dermot talks about enduring Power of Attorney and the new Decision Support Framework.

In this episode, Paula chats with John Miller about savings options open to members externally and through the credit union. They also discuss the current market and interest rates, and things people need to watch out for. John also gives information about the unit-linked savings and investment options available with the life companies through Lucan District Credit Union.

Episode 7_The Importance of having access to credit

Lorraine Corcoran from Afanite, joins Paula to discuss why it is important to always have a source of credit that you can draw on when needed, and why it is so important to manage and protect that credit source so it's there when you need it. Lorraine and Afanite led the project to introduce the Personal Microcredit Loans (It makes sense) to credit unions in Ireland. 

Episode 8_Business Protection & Employee Benefits

In this episode, Paula chats again with John Miller about how a small business can best protect itself and it's employees. John gives advise on how partnerships especially can protect their business in the event that a partner passes away. He also advises on how businesses can attract and retain employees by offering an attractive package of financial services to employees, including pension, death in service insurance and permanent health insurance.

Episode 9_The Social Impact of Credit Unions in Ireland

In this episode, Paula chats with Dave McAuley, the CEO of Donore Credit Union, the first and oldest credit union in Ireland. They will be discussing why credit unions were founded, the impact they have on their local communities, and their continued relevance today.
